The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation is set to present “Twilight Cemetery Tour: Madness, Murder, Untimely Deaths, and Strange Coincidences,” a rare opportunity to explore Greenridge Cemetery at dusk, on Tuesday, October 29th with a knowledgeable guide.
Gloria May will navigate attendees through the tombs and monuments of the cemetery, discussing the historical and architectural background of the American rural cemetery movement while unearthing tales of Saratoga’s most notable residents.
The tour begins at 5 pm and lasts approximately one hour. Attendees should meet at the Sackett Gate entrance of Greenridge Cemetery located on Lincoln Avenue.
Cost is $10 for SSPF Members and $15 for non-members. Participants are encouraged to bring a flashlight. Tour includes walking and standing on varied terrain.
