The New York State Museum is offering free monthly tours of the historic State Education Building on select Saturdays at 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm, beginning January 11th.
The 45-minute Education Building tours are being led by New York State Museum staff and visitors will have the opportunity to explore the historic Chancellors Hall, Regents Room and the Rotunda adorned with murals by Albany native Will H. Low.
Each tour can accommodate 25 people. Reservations are required and must be made online. The Education Building is located at 89 Washington Avenue, Albany. For additional information about State Education Building tours, email contact EBtours@nysed.gov.
In addition to the Education Building tours, the public can also sign up to explore the State Capitol, located across the street from the Education Building. The State Capitol tours are available Saturdays at 11 am and 1 pm. Reservations can be made here.
